Sarah graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor’s of Science degree and continued her education at Brooklyn College to achieve her Masters degree in Public Health. Sarah also completed a Nursing Home Administration certification program at New York University (NYU) prior to obtaining her New York State License in Nursing Home Administration. Sarah has over 13 years’ experience in long term care. She worked in activities and as a CNA in a nursing home when she was in high school; which sparked her passion for working with the geriatric population.
Joy has worked at Colonial Park for 37 years. She started working at the facility when she was in high school as a CNA; she then earned her LPN from B.O.C.E.S and then went on to become a RN at St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Utica, NY.
Sharon has worked in the healthcare field for the last four years. She assumed her current role as Human Resource Director at Colonial Park in October of 2014. As HR Director, her focus is on employee relations, training and development, recruitment, retention, as well as compensation and benefits.
Russell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Management from the SUNY Institute of Technology. Russell has many years of experience in health care and is knowledgeable of many aspects of long term care. He has been the Director of Environmental Services at Colonial Park for 4 years.
Karissa is a recent graduate from Utica College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Studies. Karissa has played an active role in the nursing home setting for many years through various internships and volunteer work.
Kari possesses 14 years of experience in the recreation field. She studied Therapeutic Recreation at Utica College and has been working in the geriatric recreation field since 2010. During this time she has held the position of Quality of Life Coordinator and is now currently the Director of Activities at Colonial Park. Kari’s expertise is in Person/Resident Centered programming related specifically to Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients/residents.
Patti has worked in healthcare for over 34 years; she has held the position of the Director of Medical Records at Colonial Park for 31 years and has a key role in Information Technology within the facility.
Tania has been working in healthcare in the Central New York area for 22 years. She has 13 years of experience in restaurant, hospitality, and possesses a strong culinary background. Tania is also ServSafe certified.
Anup is a Physical Therapist at Colonial Park while also overseeing the therapy department as the Director. He has many years of PT and management experience.
